A 7-kilometre skating rink?

You betcha! Ottawa's Rideau Canal turns into the world's longest skating rink (over 7 kilometres long) in the winter months. There are even people on it right now as we type this. The conditions today were supposed to be excellent. Maybe we will have to make a trip down there today (minus the skates as we don't skate - we prefer to walk along it). It sure is a popular attraction all year long.

We figured that some people may want to know who we are and why we decided to create a website all about Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I know when we read websites we like to know more about the webmasters and the people who are writing the material. We are a husband and wife team who live in Ottawa and who really love this great city. We wanted to provide information for people who are visiting Ottawa and even provide information for people who already live in Ottawa.

This is so exciting!

We did it, we actually did it. We chose our domain name and we built our first HOME page for our site. This is so exciting. To think that a couple of weeks ago we knew absolutely nothing about computer programs or making a website. Site Build It (SBI) made it so easy for newbies like us. We just followed the steps in the SBI Action Guide and here it is. Take a look to see how easy it was...
